Japanese PM Wants to Nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize, White House Says

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has expressed her intention to nominate U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, the White House said.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on Oct. 28 that Takaichi privately informed Trump of her intention to nominate him for the prize during their meeting in Tokyo, the second stop on his Asia trip.
During the meeting, Takaichi praised Trump for his role in securing peace in Asia and globally, pointing to his involvement in achieving a peace deal between Thailand and Cambodia—signed during his visit to Malaysia on Oct. 26—and in brokering a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas to end the war in Gaza….
