On October 26, a bizarre video surfaced on a Chinese social media platform. It showed a man wearing sunglasses and a mask calmly smashing the glass at a gold shop in Shanghai’s Pudong New District. He was carrying a plastic bag in his left hand and slowly filling it with gold jewelry while the crowd watched.
