The revelation on Wednesday followed the arrest of a married couple the day before in connection with the suspected murder of the domestic helper. The woman’s body was discovered at Waterfall Bay Park near Wah Fu Estate on Monday.
The Post understands preliminary investigations showed that the man, a 34-year-old British national who holds a Hong Kong identity card and runs a cafe in Central, had an extramarital affair with the helper.
The Briton and the Indonesian began their relationship after meeting out on the streets of Central, according to a source.
The man is married to a 36-year-old local woman. They live with their three-year-old son and a domestic helper.

“On Sunday night, they took a taxi to the park, where the man asked to break up with her. But the woman became emotionally agitated and suddenly jumped off the waterfall,” the source said.
