Hundreds of flights grounded as record-breaking November snow hits South Korea

The South Korean capital Seoul was blanketed by the heaviest November snowfall on record on Wednesday.

Local media reported that at least two people had been killed. Bad weather snarled traffic and knocked out power, with more than 200 mostly domestic flights cancelled or delayed.

Airports across the country experienced severe weather and at least 70 ferries serving islands were suspended.
