The city leader will deliver his annual policy address on September 17, about a month earlier than the traditional October schedule.

The government previously indicated that the timing was adjusted to accommodate the new term of the Legislative Council, which will be elected in December.

The earlier policy address will give current and new lawmakers more time to review and debate the initiatives outlined in the blueprint.
