Police received a report at around 10am on Monday that the black private car mounted the walkway near Luen Tak Building on Jordan Road in Jordan, knocking down the three pedestrians.
An elderly man was declared dead in Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The other two – a man and a woman – suffered head and leg injuries, respectively.
After the crash, the car bounced back onto the main road and hit a flower trough before it stopped.
The driver, reportedly feeling unwell, was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital.
