The Post won four gold awards and a silver for its reporting, infographics and photojournalism.
That included a clean sweep in the best news photography category. Senior photographer Sam Tsang’s image of a cargo ship, broken in two, lying on rocks in Sai Kung East Country Park in December last year took gold, just ahead of photographer Eugene Lee’s shot of Hong Kong smothered in March fog, which clinched silver.

There was more gold in the best human interest photography category, with Lee’s photo essay depicting the lives of subdivided-flat residents in Sham Shui Po – “Still living a subdivided life” – taking the top prize.
“Bedtime stories of Hong Kong’s helpers”, a multimedia piece by designer Davies Christian Surya illustrating the unsuitable accommodation provided to some domestic workers in the city, won gold for best health infographic.
An eight-part series on unemployment in China, which examined job issues facing the world’s second-largest economy from “the curse of 35” to gig workers, picked up gold for best business and financial news story.

Completing the haul, the Post’s branded content arm, Morning Studio, picked up a gold award for best revenue diversification project.
