Hong Kong’s Operation Santa Claus strengthened by Morgan Stanley’s enduring support

Morgan Stanley’s fundraising drive for Operation Santa Claus (OSC) has kept the firm on course to remain the campaign’s top corporate supporter for the ninth consecutive year, extending a partnership of nearly three decades that has engaged employees across divisions, seniority levels and borders.

According to Gokul Laroia, CEO of Asia at Morgan Stanley, the global financial services firm’s enduring support for OSC reflected its long-term commitment to giving back to the community, as illustrated by this year’s “building bridges” campaign theme.

“For us, building bridges is about creating pathways for empathy, understanding and shared responsibility,” Laroia said.

“Through Operation Santa Claus and our internal initiatives such as ‘Season for Good’, we are strengthening connections that empower individuals, uplift communities and inspire lasting change.”

Morgan Stanley has supported OSC for 29 years, raising more than HK$80 million (US$10.3 million) over that time. This year alone, the bank contributed HK$8.8 million, benefiting Kids4Kids, the Love 21 Foundation, Mind HK, the other 13 OSC beneficiaries and relief efforts linked to the deadly fire in Tai Po.
