The domestic workers each received a one-day ticket, a transport allowance of HK$80 (US$10) in Octopus card credit and meals valued at HK$365, with the sponsorship excluding the tickets that cost a total HK$1.86 million.

A one-day admission ticket costs HK$669, according to the Disneyland website.

A group visited Disneyland on Lantau Island for free last Sunday and another will do so on January 26, sponsored by the charity organisation founded by tycoon Li Ka-shing.

The foundation said that the event aimed to “create unforgettable happy memories for those domestic workers who are working hard in Hong Kong and far away from home”.
