More than 70 vehicles have been vandalised in two car parks in the New Territories, with Hong Kong authorities suspecting triad involvement after a string of similar incidents.

Police received a first call over the attacks at 6.51am on Wednesday.
Officers arrived at an open-air car park in Sheung Shui’s Lung Yeuk Tau on Sha Tau Kok Road and found vandals had splashed red paint on 61 cars. The wires connecting security cameras had also been cut.
A second call at 8.05am alerted officers to further vandalism at a nearby car park on the same road, where the windows of 12 cars had been smashed.
Sources said the two car parks were owned and managed by the same man, with vehicles parked at his home also damaged.
