A spokesman for Ginza Xiaoma, the luxury goods resale store where the robbery took place, said on Saturday that the business had fully compensated consignors, in accordance with its consignment agreement.
Police said it received a report at 7.54am that three robbers had broken into the shop at New World Tower on Queen’s Road in Central, before smashing the glass display cabinets and taking the luxury items.
The trio was seen carrying three large white bags before fleeing the scene in a seven-seater car, the force added.
Police noted that 66 Hermes handbags, valued at about HK$10 million, were stolen in the break-in.
