The force said it received a report at 7.19am from a male food delivery worker who said that boxes of food he had placed on a bus station bench had been stolen.

“At about 5.30am this morning, the delivery worker was supposed to deliver four boxes of food. During which, he placed them on a bench at a bus station,” a police spokeswoman said.

According to the force, the delivery worker boarded a bus without taking the food.

“After about 10 minutes, he returned to the bus station and found that the takeaway was missing,” police said.
