The force said it received a report at 5.47 pm on Saturday from a security guard who found the man collapsed inside the vehicle at Hong Keung Court residential estate’s car park in Lok Fu.
The man, surnamed Wong, was certified dead at the scene, it said.
According to media reports, the man had been playing football with friends at the nearby Morse Park until 11am that morning. His jersey and sports shoes were still inside the vehicle when he was found.
Car park staff reportedly approached the vehicle after noticing the car’s engine and headlights were still on in the evening, before calling police.
