Hong Kong police have arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of acts outraging public decency, days after a video went viral for showing two people performing what appeared to be sexual acts on a bench at a public pier on Cheung Chau.

The force said on Friday that it received a report two days earlier about people allegedly performing indecent acts on Cheung Chau Public Pier, with officers later arresting a 61-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man after an investigation.
The woman was arrested on Thursday, while the man was apprehended a day later.
A source said the arrests were connected to the online video.
The force said the pair were arrested on suspicion of acts outraging public decency, but did not provide any further details.
