Hong Kong man refused to provide breath sample in suspected drink-driving case

Hong Kong police have arrested a driver for refusing to provide breath and blood samples to determine his alcohol level.

The force said officers stopped the car at the junction of Fleming Road and Harbour Road in Wan Chai at 4.04am on Saturday, and suspected the driver, surnamed Chau, had been drinking.

The force said Chau was arrested for refusing to provide breath and blood samples, and was later released on bail.

The driver complained of neck pain and was taken to Ruttonjee Hospital for treatment, it added.
