Police received a report shortly after noon on Saturday that a woman had been hit on the head by a falling piece of concrete at Yiu Tung Estate in Shau Kei Wan.

“The woman was conscious and was subsequently sent to the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital [in Chai Wan],” a force spokesman said.

The Post has learned that district councillor Ng Ching-ching was the victim. She was handling supplies with care team members at Yiu Wa House when the accident happened.
