An off‑duty Hong Kong auxiliary police officer has been charged with acts outraging public decency after he was arrested for allegedly committing an indecent act while driving a taxi in Causeway Bay.
The 57‑year‑old man was suspended from duty following his arrest on September 1 and is scheduled to appear in Eastern Court on Tuesday.
Police said the suspect was driving a taxi with a 55‑year‑old woman as his passenger when he allegedly masturbated during the journey.

The passenger reportedly noticed his actions while the vehicle was on the Canal Road Flyover and alerted officers upon reaching her destination in Happy Valley.
He was arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency.

At the time of his arrest, a police spokesman said the force attached great importance to the conduct of its personnel, stressing that any unlawful behaviour would not be tolerated and would be dealt with seriously.
