Two sources familiar with the matter said on Tuesday that the Fire Services Department had stopped searching along the Lung Mun Country Trail near Tsuen Wan at around 10.15am that day.

Department officers and police began their search for Imee Mahilum Pabuaya, 24, and Aleli Perez Tibay, 33, shortly after noon on Saturday, the sources said, and the operation remains ongoing.

Police said on Monday the pair were last seen on the trail, located in Tai Mo Shan Country Park, between 4.30pm and 5pm on October 4.

The pair, listed by police as missing last Friday, may have descended the mountain via the Sam Dip Tam route, the force said.
