Hong Kong authorities arrest 2 Physical gym directors over alleged unfair trade

Two directors of Hong Kong gym chain Physical have been arrested on suspicion of unfair trade practices, sources have said.

The Post learned that Luk Ngai-keung was taken into custody after surrendering to customs, while his wife, Ho Yuk-wah, was apprehended after a citywide manhunt. Customs and police officers are also searching for other people involved in the case.

An insider said Ho was arrested after police and customs officers raided her home on Wednesday morning.

Luk, accompanied by his lawyer, surrendered himself at the customs headquarters in North Point on Tuesday afternoon, according to the source.

The directors were detained for allegedly violating the Trade Descriptions Ordinance by having no intention of suppling services after accepting payments from customers.
