Police said it had received reports from residents of the Queen’s Hill Estate in Fanling at around 10am, who found the two boys aged five and three climbing out of the window.

One child was then seen sitting on the ledge, while the other sat on a space next to an air-conditioning exterior unit.

Three fire trucks and an ambulance were deployed to the scene.

According to police, the children, who sustained no apparent injuries, were sent to North District Hospital for a medical check-up.

The 33-year-old father, surnamed Lee, and the 30-year-old mother, surnamed To, were arrested for allegedly neglecting their children, a source said.
