The news from Song Haoming and Fu Junxi, aged 10 and 12 respectively, who dazzled on the stage of Juste Debout – a competition often regarded as the World Cup of street dancing – held in Paris in early March, has gone viral across mainland social media.
They advanced to the quarter finals in the Hip Hop category of the competition, surpassing previous performances from Chinese dancers, who typically reached only the Top 8 in this category, as reported by the Red Star News.
The Hip Hop category imposes no age restrictions, placing the boys in direct competition with adult dancers.
The duo captivated the audience by seamlessly incorporating elements of Chinese martial arts, such as tai chi and zui quan (drunk fist), into their dynamic dance routines.

Juste Debout commended the young pair on Instagram on March 4, stating: “They came as underdogs and left as the crowd’s favourites! … They fought like warriors on the Juste Debout stage – fearless, relentless, and unstoppable.”
