Explosion Breaches 3 Iron Gates, JD’s French Warehouse Raided by 50 Masked Thieves, $40M Looted

On the morning of December 22nd, in the town of Saint-Denis, 17 kilometers north of Paris, over 50 masked robbers used explosives to blast open three iron doors. Armed with iron rods and crowbars, they ransacked the warehouse for three hours, stealing high-end electronics worth over 300 million RMB (37 million euros), including phones, computers, and tablets. The warehouse’s surveillance and forklift equipment were all destroyed, halting operations entirely. This was the largest theft in the history of Chinese companies’ overseas warehouses and the biggest single loss JD.com has faced in its eight years of international expansion.
