The renowned Taiwan singer-songwriter and actor Kenji Wu has launched a charity campaign on mainland social media, offering free popcorn to customers at a small food stall to help a young boy with cerebral palsy.

Much-loved Wu, who has 12.2 million online followers, has been nominated twice for Best Chinese Male Singer at the Golden Melody Awards.
Recently, he has been touring cities across China with his concerts.
The story unfolded when, during a visit to Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang province, in southeastern China, Wu visited the boy’s stall and documented their interaction.
The 18-year-old, Taotao, born in Zhejiang province, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy due to oxygen deprivation at birth.
He now runs a snack stall with the help of his mother, Yao Chunhua, selling items such as sausages and popcorn.
