Police and fire service search and rescue teams combed the Por Lo Shan area for 87‑year‑old Leung Woon‑yew, a resident of Tai Hing Estate in Tuen Mun.
Leung was last seen around 11am on Sunday at Shan King Estate on Shek Pai Tau Road. He had lunch with his family at about 1pm near King Lai House in the estate and was expected to return home afterwards, but never showed up.
Both departments said on Tuesday their search in Por Lo Shan, a countryside area next to Shan King and Leung King estates, had not yielded any results so far.
Police earlier said Leung’s mobile phone signal was last detected near the hillside of Por Lo Shan.
