The city will host a dedicated “Study in Hong Kong” week in February to showcase its strengths as an international education hub, education chief Christine Choi Yuk-lin said on Tuesday.
She was speaking at the fourth annual Hong Kong Principals’ Forum, organised by the South China Morning Post under the theme “Reimagining Tomorrow’s Success for the Next Generation”.
The event brought together around 300 primary and secondary school heads from across the Greater Bay Area to exchange insights on the future of education.

Addressing the audience, Choi, the secretary for education, revealed that the government’s task force on the initiative, announced earlier by Chief Executive John Lee in his policy address, had designated a week for the new campaign.
“The task force plans to roll out the publicity campaign, ‘Hong Kong: Your World-class Campus’, and we have dedicated February 23 to March 1, 2026, as the Study in Hong Kong week,” she said.

Choi added that the city would host the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education Conference and Exhibition in 2026. The event is expected to attract higher education leaders and industry professionals from across the region.
“Hong Kong will continue to [strengthen] its role as an international hub of education,” she said.
