Recently, blogger from Anhui who was born in the 80s, known as “Nuomi,” posted a video of herself crying in the street, saying life is too hard. She said she is really exhausted. Despite having a bachelor’s degree, she has been unemployed for over a year and can’t find a job. She has been surviving on daily temporary jobs. Living like this is extremely tiring.
Recently, a video has been circulating among Chinese netizens showing a plaza in front of Longhua Bus Station in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The bus station was crowded with people sleeping on the streets, including children. Netizens believe that these people are mostly from rural areas, coming to the city to find jobs. But due to the scarcity of job opportunities and their inability to afford even basic accommodation, they are left to sleep on the street. Some pointed out that this situation has been ongoing since last year, indicating that the dire conditions haven’t improved.
