China’s So-Called Sixth-Generation Fighter Jet Makes Maiden Flight, But It’s Still Ridiculed

On the afternoon of December 26, 2024, two “giants” appeared in the sky over Chengdu: one was the debut of the twin-seat J-20S, and the other was an oversized triangular flying wing aircraft. The triangular design resembled a J-20 with its canards removed, forming a large integrated flying wing at the rear. While some have speculated that this marks the maiden flight of China’s sixth-generation fighter jet, such claims appear to be exaggerated.
