On the early morning of October 6, 2025, a fire broke out at the “Kyoto Hachijo Hotel,” located directly across from JR Kyoto Station in Japan.
The fire started in a guest room on the second floor, causing a dramatic scene with flames visible from the outside. Nearly 2,000 guests staying at the hotel were urgently evacuated. Fortunately, the fire was quickly brought under control, and no injuries were reported.
According to the Kyoto Fire Department, the two women in their 30s from China were staying in the room where the fire started. They had been resting when they noticed an unusual smell and immediately called the authorities.
