China’s Largest Collective Carmaker Fails in Price War, Cuts 5,465 Jobs in 18 Months

Great Wall’s brands, including Haval, Ora, and its pickup trucks, are all experiencing a decline in sales. From January to October, sales of Ora dropped by 40%, the highest among the brands. Haval and Great Wall pickups saw decreases of 15% and 14.7%, respectively.

Great Wall’s goal for 2024 was to sell 1.9 million vehicles, but by the end of October, they had only sold 976,000, which is just 51% of their target.
