This is China’s number one “ghost town,” an unfinished villa community. Over a thousand villas were built but left abandoned for years. From an aerial view, the villas are tightly packed, built along the mountain slopes, covering the entire peak. Every villa’s exterior wall is finished, and the surrounding roads and landscaping are well-maintained. It’s such a shame that it’s become deserted. After seeing it, people online are saying it’d be better to just give a villa to each of the local newcomers rather than let it go to waste like this.
