Nowadays, it’s becoming harder and harder for Chinese people to leave China.
On May 3, a blogger shared that many of their friends had noticed the process of traveling abroad had become more complicated. Passport policies in many regions, like Fujian, Jiangxi, Henan, and Hunan, have tightened. Some friends who used their passports to return to China were contacted by local authorities, asking them to cancel their passports. Now, getting out of the country, from crossing the border to leaving the country, is stricter than before. Many people have encountered various situations at the border, with some being directly turned back. Not only are visas useless, but they might also be restricted from leaving the country again for a while.
