A man in China who rescued a drowning man while riding a white horse, has earned praise online and been given the nickname Prince Charming.

On February 4, the man fell into the river from a bridge in Xiantao, a city in central China’s Hubei province.
His daughter anxiously stood on the riverbank, calling for help and tried to rescue him.
A video circulating online shows a man, identified as Yilibai, riding a white horse into the river to rescue the drowning man.
The horse swam more than 40 metres, while Yilibai held the reins in one hand and pulled the man with the other.

Another rescuer, Liu Hangzhou, carrying swimming safety equipment, helps bring the man ashore.
