On September 28, people in Jiangmen, Guangdong, uploaded videos showing mosquito spraying. One person sighed, saying, I just got through the typhoon, and now I have to spray mosquitoes every day. The mosquitoes won’t take my life, but the fumes might. Life in Jiangmen is too hard.
The videos showed mosquito control teams in full gear moving through villages, looking like response squads from a zombie movie. Smoke from the spraying filled the city. Some residents complained, saying, The mosquitoes aren’t dead, but the people are already collapsing.
