The Chinese regime has warned citizens against studying in and traveling to Japan, and it has dispatched coast guard ships in the waters near Japan-administered Senkaku Islands, as a dispute between the two Asian neighbors over Taiwan escalated.
The China Coast Guard said in a statement on Nov. 15 that the patrol in the waters around the “Diaoyu Islands” aims to uphold China’s “rights and interests,” using the Chinese name of the uninhabited islands and rocks located in the East China Sea.
Although Japan administers the Senkaku Islands, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) claims sovereignty over them, frequently conducting what it calls “rights enforcement patrols” in the surrounding waters….
