Hong Kong flag carrier Cathay Pacific Airways will increase its fuel surcharge for all flights by 34 per cent from April – the second increase in two weeks – citing “considerable pressure” as conflict in the Middle East impacts oil prices.
The airline said on Thursday that the fuel surcharge for long-haul flights would increase by HK$396 (US$50.63) to HK$1,560, or 34 per cent from the current HK$1,164. The measure takes effect on Wednesday of next week.
