A witness who was on board Monday’s flight, CX563 from Nagoya, told cabin crew that a man was using a camera to take upskirt pictures of stewardesses, a source said. Staff then reported the case to police.

When the flight landed at Hong Kong International Airport at about 4pm, police officers boarded the aircraft and took the suspect and the witness away for inquiries, the source said.

Police said a foreign man, 53, was arrested on suspicion of the unlawful recording of intimate parts after the force received a report from the alleged female victim, 26, at 3.51pm.

The force said the man was currently being held for questioning. The case has been passed on to the airport district crime investigation team.
