Deng Qiqi launched her business at the bustling Shapingba Subway Station in Chongqing, southwestern China, on February 14, Shandian News reported.

She usually opens at around 5pm and close at 7.30pm. Her stall only opens on weekdays to avoid busy weekend traffic, she said.

Deng added that she can earn 300 yuan (US$40) for two hours’ work each day beautifying three-to-four women. She said she does not take appointments in advance.

“In the past, when I walked in the underground stations, I found many people engaged in stall businesses selling various products. I thought why not open my own booth? Why not challenge myself?” the 28-year-old who has a small-scale make-up studio, was quoted as saying.
