Hong Kong will experience warm and wet weather over the coming week as relative humidity levels are set to reach as high as 100 per cent, according to the forecaster.

The Hong Kong Observatory said temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday would remain cool at 14 degrees Celsius (57 Fahrenheit) with a few rain patches under the impact of the northeast monsoon and upper-air disturbances, adding they would gradually get warmer from Thursday.

“With the departure of upper-air disturbances and under the influence of a humid maritime airstream, temperatures will rise progressively over the coast of Guangdong in the latter part of this week and early next week,” the Observatory said.

“There may be damp days over the weekend.”
