Patrons started lining up outside the park before it opened at 10am on Sunday in anticipation of the public debut of “Elder Sister” and “Younger Brother”.

Many were decked out in panda paraphernalia, such as headbands and plushies sold by Ocean Park, and brought along professional cameras to capture the precious moment.

The first visitor in the line, a man surnamed Shum, told local media he had arrived at the park sometime after 6am, saying he felt the cubs’ birth carried a very special meaning for Hong Kong.

Shum also said he planned to visit the twins again when they turned one.
