The industrial park’s introduction boldly states, “Chinese products can smoothly enter the U.S. and the EU through Mexico. Is Mexico the next world factory?”
The chairman of the Hofusan Industrial Park, Hu Hai, once said, “Since 2022, our park and the city I’m in have been nearly fully occupied. Chinese companies are rushing in, ‘fighting for factories and land.'”
As of now, more than 30 Chinese companies have settled in the park, including construction equipment manufacturer Lingong Heavy Machinery, electric vehicle company BYD, home appliance company Hisense, solar panel producer Trina Solar, and furniture maker Minhua Furniture, among others.
