The two men were detained by immigration police, who were notified about their alleged crimes by Interpol, at Suvarnabhumi Airport on Wednesday evening, Thai media reports said.

Thai officers intercepted the suspects upon their arrival on Cathay Pacific flight CX701 at about 6.40pm, and took the pair to a detention room, the Bangkok Post said on Thursday.

They notified their Hong Kong counterparts, who arrived in the country and escorted the suspects back to the city on Thursday for legal proceedings.

The pair were wanted for a fatal attack in the early hours of Wednesday in which seven to eight knife-wielding attackers assaulted two men near the Hi Yip Factory Building on Wang Yip Street West in Yuen Long.
