“China Eastern Airlines’ domestically-made C919 aircraft had a mechanical issue. I specifically chose flight MU9199 to Guangzhou to experience the C919, but China Eastern told me the C919 had ‘mechanical issues.’ The flight was delayed for over an hour, and they replaced the aircraft with an Airbus A321. What’s the point of paying this price and booking this flight? There were cheaper and earlier flights available. I believe many customers choose this flight to support and experience the C919. This plane is only two years old—how can it have mechanical issues so easily? If they’re going to switch planes, shouldn’t they apologize or compensate customers? With service like this, I probably won’t choose China Eastern again.”
