Hong Kong’s giant panda twin cubs will meet the public in February, the city leader has confirmed.

Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said on Tuesday that “Elder Sister” and “Younger Brother”, born to giant panda Ying Ying, would be ready to greet visitors at their home in Ocean Park after Lunar New Year.
“The pair of giant panda cubs are around six months old and will meet the public in February,” Lee said in a media briefing before his weekly Executive Council meeting.
Earlier this month, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui said the baby cubs might meet the public after Lunar New Year.
Ocean Park Chairman Paulo Pong Kin-yee also hinted at the baby cubs’ long-awaited public reveal in December.
