China Launches ICBM; Japan, New Zealand, Australia Transit Taiwan Strait in Strong Response

On September 25, as the CCP test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile in the Pacific, Japan’s JS Sazanami, New Zealand’s HMNZS Aotearoa, and Australia’s HMAS Sydney passed through the Taiwan Strait, marking their presence in what appeared to be a direct response to Beijing’s provocations. These vessels, some of Japan and Australia’s top-tier destroyers, are known for their combat capabilities and serve as a deterrent during times of conflict.
