Hong Kong law firm Karas So (full name Karas So LLP), in association with Mishcon de Reya, has appointed Alex Wong as a partner.
Wong (pictured) joined this week on September 2, bringing experience in representing high-net-worth individuals, institutional, and corporate clients, in commercial litigation and international arbitration.
Prior to joining Karas So, Wong worked at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher as an ‘Of counsel’, where he stayed from May 2020 to the end of August 2024; prior to that, he was at Clifford Chance from September 2014 to April 2020 as a senior associate and then consultant, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In another recent move a the Hong Kong law firm, Samuel Fung joined the law firm as special counsel earlier this summer in July.
Fung is a former in-house counsel at the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), where Fung helped clients through the complexities of proceedings and investigations by the SFC and other regulatory bodies.

Karas So has one of the largest dispute resolution teams in Hong Kong, with nine partners and more than 30 lawyers.
