Singer of Hong Kong boy band Error admits hitting pedestrian while reversing Ferrari

A singer from popular Hong Kong boy band Error has pledged to help police with any investigation after he knocked down a pedestrian on Sunday while reversing his Ferrari sports car.

Denis Kwok Ka-chun on Monday evening admitted the incident a few hours after two clips captured by dashcam circulated online, with an internet user accusing him of leaving the scene after offering an apology to the woman hit by his vehicle.

“I saw an old lady falling on the ground from the rear-view mirror when I drove my car backwards in To Kwa Wan yesterday,” Kwok, 34, said in an Instagram post.

“I immediately got out to apologise to her and asked if she was hurt, and whether there was any need to report to police or send her to hospital. The old lady said she was fine and there was no need for it and so I left the scene.

“I subsequently reported the case to police and will facilitate the follow-up work. I will also be extra cautious of the road situation and safety while driving in the future.”

A clip posted on social media shows Kwok’s red Ferrari knocking down a woman trying to cross the road as the singer reverses his car.

Another video shows Kwok, dressed in a baggy red top, getting out of his vehicle to speak with the pedestrian, and then returning to the car seconds later and driving off. The woman checks her elbow.

Kwok, commonly known by his nickname 193, a reference to his height in centimetres, is one of four members of Error, a boy band formed through a ViuTV reality talent show.

He got his showbiz break through Good Night Show – King Maker – the programme that also led to the formation of wildly popular boy band Mirror.
