On July 23, Foxconn, a subsidiary of the Taiwanese company Hon Hai Technology Group, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Henan provincial government for a new business project. Foxconn plans to invest 1 billion yuan in Zhengzhou to build a new headquarters and seven centers. These will support industries such as electric vehicles, energy storage batteries, digital health, and robotics, aligning with Foxconn’s 3+3 strategy in China. Hon Hai started focusing on the 3+3 new businesses and expanding globally in 2019. The first phase of this new investment is set to be located in the Zhengdong New District, covering an area of about 700 hectares.
