Moskowitz Defeats Democratic Socialist Challenger in Florida House Primary

Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) won renomination to a U.S. House seat, this time in Florida’s newly redrawn 25th Congressional District, on Aug. 18, defeating Oliver Larkin, a union organizer endorsed by the Democratic Socialists of America.
Moskowitz currently represents the 23rd District. He ran in the 25th after Florida’s Republican-led legislature redrew the state’s congressional map this year at the call of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Moskowitz received 28,294 votes, or 63.47 percent. Larkin received 16,284 votes, or 36.53 percent, out of 44,578 cast.
“Tonight, Democratic voters sent a clear message. Thank you for your faith in me,” Moskowitz wrote in a post on Facebook….
