PHOENIX—Incumbent Gov. Katie Hobbs, a Democrat, will face Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) in Arizona’s gubernatorial election this fall.
Biggs, who has served in the U.S. House since 2017, won the Republican primary in a landslide on July 21, defeating three long-shot Republican candidates.
“I am deeply honored to be chosen by Arizona Republicans as their nominee to defeat Katie Hobbs in November,” Biggs wrote in a social media post on the night of July 21.
“This campaign has been driven by our grassroots supporters from the day we launched in January 2025 with a clear mission of Restoring the American Dream in our great state. Tonight’s results show that Arizonans overwhelmingly believe in our vision and I’m grateful to have earned their support.”…
