On June 21, Longjiang, Guangxi and southeastern Guizhou were hit by an unprecedented, catastrophic downpour. In less than half an hour, the entire town of Longjiang was submerged in muddy water over 4 meters deep. The streets vanished, cars disappeared, and rows of two- to three-story buildings now had only their roofs showing above the water.
